Here we are at the 10th edition of RECENT MUSIC! It has been fun keeping up with this project this year, digging through my archives, listening back on gigs, and reflecting on everything that has transpired.

Going forward, I will be moving this project to a Patreon page which will have a paid subscription level and a free level. I hope that you’ll join me there.

Preparing for a new record

A big reason for this shift is that I am preparing to record a new record, my first as a leader since the first Witherbees record in 2019. I have a lot of music to share with the world that I have been slowly accumulating since 2020. Featured here are a few choice cuts from rehearsals.

You might recognize some of the songs from my acoustic demo record Close the Book. That project was meant to be a compendium to this larger project.
